What Are You Thinking About This Week?

Here is a short list of a few things that I'm thinking about this week. What are all of you thinking about and why?

1. The Holy Trinity as the actual name of God (or Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) Oooh, which reminds me. I just learned that El Shaddai is usually translated "the Almighty" but is more literally translated as "the Breasted One" and is always used in maternal contexts. with that in mind, William C. Placher chooses to describe God as "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God, Mother of us all." Brilliant!
2. Donatist and Arian controversies in the early church and the Eastern Fathers' response
3. Ending world poverty by convincing North Americans and Europeans to stop eating ice cream (see Jeffrey Sachs' The End of Poverty)
4. The most effective way to hold a paper airplane contest for families
5. Getting my tax stuff to my tax guy
6. Missing Julia because she's at a writer's conference in Kansas City
7. When am I going to get Brian Wiprud's new book and looking forward to the new Harry Potter

So, what are you thinking about this week.

Stop eating ice cream? Okay, that's way too far. Hey, at least Julia beat out Harry Potter. Is she really number 6 on your list?

I'm thinking how fun it was to see Julio this week! We wish you could have been here too.
I'm also thinking that we may come to Dayton to watch the Steelers play Cincinatti and you guys will watch Bailey... It's a plan!

We'd love to! We could take Bailey to the Aquarium and you could go watch football. I think you're probably getting the raw end of the deal, but too bad!

I've got another plan. Kings' Island for everyone. It's a plan.

OK, ibzim, I no longer believe my 4 grade pic is scary.

Anyway - SWEET! I'm all for King's Island for everybody! Just let us know when.

And it was great to see everybody, although it appears no one has cut their hair since we left. ;) jfr.

OK...

I'm thinking about getting my new boat in the water...

I'm thinking about ordination...

I'm thinking about too many stinking meetings...

I'm really thinking about cool ways to reach out to the families in our community...

I'm thinkning about what book to read next...

Hey Rochelle, is Chris racing this year? Where and in what? If you ever want to go to Heinz Field, Antonina and I are less than an hour from Pit...

Scary too eric -- what is wrong with you people and your creepy pics???

I recommend reading something by NT Wright -- he rocks!

Yeah, I'm thinking about ordination too (I mean, two);) . . . and how I have to fill out the same information over and over again because the district can't coordinate its apps into one form. At least put it on electronic file so all I have to do is cut and paste instead of handwriting the whole dang thing 20 times!!!

So, eric, how many people have you sanctified this year?
jfr.

I am thinking about...
-how the heck do single parents actually go to bed at night with any amount of sanity left

-how I am going to change the light bulbs in my entry chandilier-15 feet in the air and no ladder.

-how to tell my 11 year old that it is inappropriate to end the phone call to his "girlfriend" with "I love you"

-how to tell my 18 year old the same as above

-when the HECK will a new HEROES be on?????

-Gosh, I really don't have an important thought in my head

I'm thinking of two days off in a row that I will have beginning tomorrow. 2 days to enjoy the state that everyone pays big money to come and see but that the rest of us have to work our butts off to afford to live in!

Hello Evan and Julia~
I am thinking the grass is green~
The daffodils are in bloom~
I get to start digging in dirt~
Not too long from now there will be plants and flowers filling my gardens~
Surely Zion will be walking soon and we can go out in the yard and play~
Blessings on you, my friends!
